Challenge
Since 2017, New York has led the nation in the number of new HIV cases. There is a critical lack of advocacy and awareness raising amongst Latinx communities in New York, especially recent immigrants and sex workers, about PrEP, its use in preventing HIV, and where to access free PrEP services in the city.
RC's Response
Advocates and clients of Voces Latinas came together to brainstorm powerful images and messaging about PrEP and its impact in preventing HIV. From these ideas, our team designed a series of engaging and uplifting posters that are being spread through various targeted areas of New York City to reach the most vulnerable members of the Latinx community.
Impact
The co-created posters from this project were shared as part of Voces Latinas’ statewide advocacy, and posted through targeted areas of New York City increasing knowledge about critical life-saving services.
